ENCHANTED CASTLE
Permission slips are due this week! Make sure your student brings their money and permission slip to their lesson this week! Permission slips received after this week will be sent back home. Please do not leave permission slips in teacher mailboxes at elementary schools; it is not likely the teacher will get it as we travel to different schools every day. THANK YOU!
SUMMER ORCHESTRA
Sign Up for Summer Orchestra!
Dear Orchestra Parents,
Each year, District 58 offers a 3-week summer program for all band and orchestra students, which is an excellent way to motivate our young musicians and keep them practicing. This is a great opportunity for the students to continue developing their musical skills and to play a lot of different music in a short period of time, and it's FUN! This year's Summer Orchestra program will take place weekday mornings from June 11 through June 29 at Herrick Middle School.
We are going PAPERLESS this year! Detailed information about the Summer ORchestra program can be found on the District 58 website at http://www.dg58.org/SummerSchool/. Registration is all on-line and must be completed by Friday, May 25.
Please note that your child is welcome to attend multiple sessions, and you only have to register once. (For example, students who sign up for 10:00 Intermediate Orchestra are also welcome to come at 9:00 for the Special Help session, if they wish.) We hope to have lots of students take advantage of this fun opportunity to keep playing over the summer! Please feel free to contact me with questions.
