BE SURE TO CHECK ASSIGNMENT NOTEBOOKS DAILY !

All assignments are due the next school day unless otherwise stated.

At the 5th grade level students should not be spending more that 50 minutes on homework per night. If your child is having trouble with a particular assignment, please attach a note rather than frustrating both of you. Your child should be reading for pleasure everyday. The suggested amount of time is at least 30 minutes per day. Please encourage your child to read.

Fit Fair is coming...Wednesday, Feb. 24th 6-8:30pm at O'Neill Middle School. This is a district-wide, family event, we hope all can attend.

The 2nd issue of our school paper, Panther Paper, is now posted on the school webpage. Happy Reading :)

On Friday, Feb. 5th important information about the upcoming State Expository Report went home. Please return the bottom portion of the cover letter. Be sure it has a parent signature. Thank you.

The first edition of the Panther Paper is hot off the presses and posted on the school website. Be sure to check it out!

Monday, November 16th: Today 5th grade visited the Robert Crown Center for Health Education. Your child will bring home a booklet ("Michael" for boys, "Linda" for girls). Be sure to ask them about their visit and consider looking through the booklet together.

5th grade students interested in participating in the Science Fair should see Mrs. DeMarco for a registration packet.

During the first week in November students will bring home a packet about 2nd quarter book projects. Look for this important information. Book must be chosen by Thursday, November 11th.

Parents...be sure to send back your child's conference confirmation sheet. We look forward to meeting with you in Jan/Feb.

Check the Mail...On Friday, October 9th your 5th grader will be bringing home an important parent letter regarding Everyday Math Online Resources.
