Social Studies |
We will begin our study of maps, geography and landforms. |
Science |
This unit of study will provide hands-on investigations involving balance and motion. |
Writing |
We will continue to work with the Six Traits of writing and the writing process. Emphasis will be put on writing correct sentences with details and using spelling words in context. |
Reading |
The students will be working on reading strategies, comprehension skills and fluency. Children will read self selected materials daily, as well as work with spelling and word wall words. Daily reading at home is integral to your child's success. |
Math |
We will be building math concepts through hands on activities. Games will be used throughout the year to strengthen their knowledge of basic math facts. Students will work with a review of basic facts, counting money, telling time, and how we use math in our daily lives. |
